Cancel a draft

Backlinker Guest drafts & statuses

Withdraw a guest post that has not been published yet with Cancel draft.

If you do not want a guest post to go live, cancel it before it is published. In Outgoing activities, open the row actions of a post in Draft or Changes requested and click Cancel draft. You see “Draft cancelled.” and the status becomes Cancelled.

Good to know

  • Only the guest author's store can cancel its own draft.
  • A cancelled draft cannot be submitted again.
  • Credits used to write the post are not returned, because the AI work was already done.
  • Published posts cannot be cancelled from Backlinker; contact the host or support if a live post needs to be changed.
