These Terms of Service are an agreement between you and Yassine Malti ("we", "us") for Backlinker, a Shopify app that places backlinks on other Shopify stores' blogs and can host guest posts on yours, and for this website.
By installing or using Backlinker, you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you use Backlinker for a business, you confirm that you can bind that business.
The service
Backlinker can match your store with a host, publish a guest post that links to your homepage or an existing post, and host another store's article on your blog. Each placement uses credits. Plans, limits, and features can change. We may add, change, or remove a feature, or pause the service for maintenance.
Who may use Backlinker
- You are at least 18, or the age of majority where you live
- You have a Shopify store and the authority to install apps on it
- You will follow these terms and the laws that apply to your store
Your store and your content
You keep ownership of your products, images, and the posts created for your store. You allow us to access, process, store, and publish that material only to provide and support Backlinker, including showing an agreed link on a host blog. You are responsible for what gets published, including claims, copyright, and whether a post stays live.
AI output can be wrong, incomplete, or similar to other text. Review posts before you rely on them. Backlinker does not promise rankings, traffic, or that a backlink will stay online.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Break the law, or infringe someone else's rights, with content you publish through Backlinker
- Use images or other material you do not have the right to use
- Try to break, probe, or overload the app or the systems that run it
- Resell or share access to the app, except as part of operating your own store
- Misuse credits, referrals, or billing
- Use the app to create unlawful, deceptive, or harmful content
Plans, credits, and billing
Paid plans, credit packs, and prices are shown in the app and on the Shopify App Store. Shopify bills your store in USD. Subscriptions renew every 30 days, or once a year if you choose annual billing, until you cancel. Shopify may add tax where the law requires it. Except where the law says otherwise, fees are not refundable after a billing period has started or after credits have been used.
You can change or cancel a plan from the app or from your Shopify admin. Cancellation stops the next charge. Access continues until the end of the period you already paid for, unless we end these terms because of a serious breach.
Third-party services
Backlinker depends on Shopify and can use Search Console, Moz, and AI or image providers. Those services have their own terms. We are not responsible for their outages or decisions. See the Shopify Terms of Service for Shopify's rules.
Our intellectual property
We own Backlinker, including its software, design, and name. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to use the app for your Shopify store while you follow these terms. You may not copy, resell, or reverse engineer the app, except where the law does not allow that limit.
Disclaimers
Backlinker is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that generated content will be accurate or original.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for claims related to Backlinker in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us for Backlinker in that period, or 100 USD, whichever is greater. Some regions do not allow these limits. Where they do not, the limits apply only as far as the law allows.
Indemnity
You will cover us against claims that arise from your store content, your use of Backlinker, or your breach of these terms, except to the extent a claim is caused by our own misconduct.
Ending access
You may uninstall Backlinker at any time. We may suspend or end access if you materially breach these terms, if the law requires it, or if we discontinue the app. We will give notice when that is reasonable. Sections that should survive, including ownership, disclaimers, liability, and indemnity, stay in effect.
Changes
We may update these terms by posting a new version on this page and changing the date at the top. If you keep using Backlinker, the new terms apply. If you do not agree, uninstall the app.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. The courts in Ottawa, Ontario, are the exclusive venue, except where the law gives you the right to bring a claim where you live.
